Remnants of Independence

North East India is where the bloodiest WWII was fought and ended, thus the region is very much part of the World War and subsequent Independence movement in South and South East Asia.

My own grandfather ( maternal) Pu Mangzachin Guite contributed to the War for Independence in his capacity as a Village Chief of Phaitong Khua in Thanlon Sub Division of Churachandpur District in Manipur, India.

This certificate is in recognition of his contribution to the freedom movement.

The Year as Signed is 1947.

Dedicated in his memory on completion of 70 years of WWII and 67 years of India's Independence.
