North East India is where the bloodiest WWII was fought and ended, thus the region is very much part of the World War and subsequent Independence movement in South and South East Asia.
My own grandfather (
maternal) Pu Mangzachin Guite contributed to the War for Independence in his capacity as a Village Chief of
Phaitong Khua in Thanlon Sub Division of Churachandpur District in Manipur, India.
This certificate is in recognition of his contribution to the freedom movement.
